Path Towards Becoming a Data Scientist
Data Science as we all know is the hottest topic on internet and in everyone's mind. But the cool thing is everyone talks about it but nobody really knows how to do it, everyone thinks everyone else is doing it, so everyone claims they are doing it.
Data Science term although seems intriguing but very few know on what to do. So the first thing is to create a road-map, cause a planned building is always better than an unplanned one. One must always plan and make a road map before diving into the ocean of data science.
Data Science is mainly an intersection of Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Science, Business Knowledge. So one must start with understanding the basics of Mathematics & Statistics needed in Data Science, keep in mind not to go to deep or you may end up losing interest in the subject. Go through some of the basics in Numpy and Pandas.
Starting with data analysis would probably be the best approach. Learning Numpy, Pandas and Matplotlib through Data Analysis will give an extra edge in EDA. Once it is mastered then it will be much easier doing feature engineering in Machine Learning.
It will be an advantage if Django/Flask is known as it will be an extra edge when we want to deploy a ML model. Best is to keep a framework like Django/Flask and a cloud application platform like AWS/Heroku/Azure. Make sure the deployment happens through git.
