My experience in Bootcamp so far

Bootcamp is a place of testing your skills in improvement, adaptability, flexibility, collaboration, time management, and so many other things. Things mentioned above are key to success in what you do. So here is my experience so far.

Improvement is needed as it helps to progress. Every person gets excited when they make progress in what you do because it shows that what you are doing is being fruitful and your hard work is paying off. Without improvement, people can be discouraged and sometimes give up. And also people around you cheer when they see you improving and that makes you encouraged and keep up. So by seeing from the time, I started the Bootcamp till now, I can say that I have improved. I have met many people and got to know more about collaboration, and how helping each other can make reach far.

During the Bootcamp, adaptability is needed because it allows you to get along in a new environment you are in. You meet your LFA (Learning Facilitator Assistant) and it may seem that what you did is maybe different from the expectations, so when you get the feedback you need to work on them and it may require using different methodologies or tools you used before so you need to adapt fast. Given the feedback I was provided regarding the UI, it required me to start almost from scratch and I was able to handle such big tasks and delivered.

In Bootcamp flexibility is needed, because you need to understand every feedback you get. Also, you must be able to easily understand what you are told and how you handle such feedback. I have tried my best to cope with what I was provided.

Collaboration is another key to success, as known no one knows all things, there are many things we learn from each other no matter how good you are. I met my team and I’m really glad to be among them because we have been very helpful to each other. Whenever someone gets stuck on something you see how they quickly respond to any problem you encounter.

Time is one of the things that can’t be recovered when used irresponsibly. Given the tasks supposed to be done, someone has to set a timeline. Sometimes you sleep sleepless nights to deliver on time. Since it was my first time in the Bootcamp, I haven’t managed my time well as required as I am seeing things I should have done before. Every morning everyone writes a daily stand up which includes what was done in the last 24 hours and what you will be doing in the next 24 hours. That makes you set tasks to be completed against the time you have.

I’m enjoying my time in Bootcamp and I hope to succeed as it is my first priority and also I’m determined to do so.

I can say that my time in Bootcamp is made of ups and downs but every day I try to make things perfect by learning new things, collaborating with others and also paying attention to the time I have. I am working hard even though it is hard but I know that it will pay off.
