The Sangria

It was a gloomy rainy day on Sunday morning, I was sitting on my couch covered with a warm soft blanket and holding my mug. The hot chocolate tasted really good, especially in the weather like this.

Suddenly, I heard someone was calling my name and knocking at the door. It is the voice I am so familiar with. I hurried myself to open up the door.

I saw you are there ! Standing right in front of me while holding a bottle of wine and some fruits. I remember our promise, no, to be exact your promise. We gotta make Sangria, you said.

You were coming into the room, soaked and trembling. Yet, your blue eyes sparkle with happiness and joy. I can see how excited you are. After changing the clothes, you were asking me to join you in the kitchen.

You asked me to be careful with the knife, you know how clumsy I could be with tools and everything.

You said that while you were smiling at me, the sweet smile that never failed to make me blushing. The fruits never smelled this good before, and also the wine. I do not know is it because of the quality of the fruits and wine or simply because there was you.

We have made the sangria ! You were so proud with the result. I can say it is the best sangria that I have ever tasted in my life. My face turned so red and warm, it has the same color as a tomato now.

You were smiling at me and touched my red cheeks with your hands. In this moment I know myself was really drunk and intoxicating. I do not know if I was drunk because of the sangria or because of you.
