HOLY HEAT

The Pope is the latest to speak about the threat that global warming and rising sea levels implicate for all. He stated this in a conference where he met with delegation of leaders from the Pacific islands. The pope indicated that he to shared their worries and that he called upon leaders attending climate talks in Germany to have a global approach as they decide on the best ways to reduce carbon emissions.

Climate change has been the ecological talk of the past 50 years. The conversation has heated up in the past year as trump removed the US from the Paris Climate agreement making the United States of America the only country on Earth that’s declined to be a part of the Paris climate agreement, after Syria Announced it would join the landmark 2015 pact.

He stated his departure from the treaty on a badly negotiated deal and that the U.S. economy was suffering due to this deal. He also recently tweeted about historically low temperatures in Louisiana, which he used to back up his claims that global warming and climate change was just a hoax created by the “fake media”.

In similar news the University of Seville in Spain conducted a study of the effects of green roofs counteracting the effects a city like Seville can cause on increasing temperatures. They concluded that around 350 hectares of green roof are needed to resist the climate change. This is in turn around 26 percent of the city tops covered in plants.
