4 Habits I Wish I Had Dropped Earlier

We live and we learn

We all look back and wish we had or hadn't done things. There are some things that we no longer engage in, yet we look back and wish we had stopped these habits sooner.

Even if we have outgrown them now, in a perfect world, we never would have had these habits in the first place anyway.

I am thankful for all the growth I have had, especially in the past few years but I am still prone to looking back and wishing there were certain things I had done slightly differently.

Here are some habits that I wish my younger self hadn't been so absorbed in that would have made my life a lot easier.

I was such a slave to my thoughts. I would overthink every little thing and would drive myself crazy. It was so unproductive and generally just not great for my mental health.

The funny thing is that now when I look back at all the things I used to overthink, I can’t even believe they were ever an issue as they are so irrelevant to my life now, and were unimportant at the time.

I learned that the more you ruminate on the negative the worse it’ll seem and the cycle will continue. I should have stopped allowing myself to make mountains out of molehills.

I allowed myself to get way too caught up in the opinions of other people. This made me so self-conscious and I would always feel like I was walking on eggshells, especially around certain people.

If someone didn't like me or something I was doing, it felt like the end of the world. It was like living in handcuffs.

Once I started to care less about what other people thought of me, I felt like I was free. I took back my power and started to live my life the way I wanted to without fear of being judged. I learned that everyone has an opinion but their opinions do not define you.

Procrastinating on choices used to be one of my biggest weaknesses. It used to take me so long to make a decision and sometimes it would be too late and opportunities would pass me by. Even on the…
