How to Upload a Video in Laravel

Many websites and online systems require the user to upload a video to the internet. This feature is common on social media websites, news websites, e-learning websites, online magazines, etc.

Many web developers find it difficult to implement this feature on websites. However, web frameworks like laravel can make it easier to implement video upload on websites. In this article, I will show you step by step how to upload an mp4 video using laravel.

Step 1: Create a new Laravel project using composer. You can give it any name but in this case, we will name it videoApp.

Step 2: In the videoApp project create a migration to create a videos table.

Step 3: In the migration add the fields video and title.

Step 4: Next, create a model called Video.

Step 5: In the model add the video fields and title fields in the fillable array.

Step 5: Next, create a controller and name it VideoController.

Step 6: To the VideoController, add a function called uploadVideo.

Step 7: Finally in the web.php file in the routes folder

Step 8: Create a file called uploadVideo.blade.php.
